SENIOR BUYER required for a progressive growth, AIM listed company. Herbert Brown & Son Limited are part of Albermarle & Bond (Holdings) Plc and has a reputation for high quality, new, second-hand and antique jewellery in the High Street. As a jeweller and pawnbroker, we have a unique business model in terms of product offering and market position so we require in turn a unique individual to contribute towards achieving our ambitious retail strategy.

You will buy new jewellery, watches and gifts for 30 stores, distribute second hand stocks resulting from forfeited pledges and replenish stock where neccessary. As the leader of the buying and distribution team, you will disseminate product performance and have accountability and control of retail margin.

Currently a buyer or an assistant buyer with substantial experience, you will have had exposure to the jewellery market and industry, along with experience in supply chain and replenishment activities. As a highly analytical and intensely organised and disciplined individual, you will have the ability to influence thinking vertically through the business at every level.

Working closely with the Directors, success in this role will be primarily judged upon margin growth, replenishment lead times and retail turnover. The role is based at our Head Office in Garforth, Leeds, and may require a degree of travel to maintain open communication with our people and suppliers.

We have 29 branches nationwide and currently have branch vacancies in Castleford, Doncaster and Burnley.
