SALES EXECUTIVE

International Jewellery London is in its 51st year. This exciting market-leading event is the UK’s most important platform for buyers and sellers within the Jewellery industry. Attracting over 650 exhibitors from over 30 countries and nearly 10,000 visitors this event demands a focused team. The show takes place annually each September at Earls Court Two.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, intelligent and self-motivated Sales Executive expected to develop both new business and manage existing accounts. This position will predominantly be telephone based, with some time spent out of the office at competitive trade shows and client meetings. This position will report into the Sales Manager.

The job:
This position will involve the following key responsibilities:

•  Actively sell exhibition space and sponsorship.
•  Source new business from trade press, rival media and competing events.
•  Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients.
•  Help develop and effectively manage show database and identify new areas of business.
•  Effectively communicate exhibition floor plan changes/amends
•  Track industry developments by regularly monitoring the industry press.
•  Manage individual projects on an ad-hoc basis.
•  Regularly attend industry events/launches and functions.

The candidate:
You will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player with a passion for success. In addition, the following skills and experience are essential:

•  Ideally with some experience in a busy telesales environment
•  Some face-to-face experience ideally
•  Excellent telephone sales skills
•  Excellent communication skills, with a strong aspiration to meet and exceed client
    expectations.
•  Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
•  Team player
•  Initiative
•  Strong organisational abilities, accuracy, time management skills and attention to detail.
•  Good administrative skills and computer literacy, particularly with Word, Power point,
    Excel, Outlook and database management
